Schreiber, Ontario is a small town located in Northwestern Ontario with a history that is closely intertwined with the railroad. As part of a Canada 150, a revitalization of the original beach landing where the community was founded undertaken. A gazebo was constructed that would contain a series of historic panels telling the history of the community and railroad.
Extensive research was undertaken to tell a cohesive narrative that spans the early history of the community. Another set of panels was created that chronicles the development of the railroad, from the building of the transcontinental railway to the rise of the diesel locomotive.
